Overview
We designed and implemented an advanced Revit API plugin and headless app to automate and accelerate the creation of code-compliant Architectural, Structural, and MEP permit drawing sets. The primary focus was the Auto Permit Generator for Revit 2026—an intelligent add-in that transforms project JSON data into fully coordinated permit documentation, dramatically reducing manual modeling and drafting time.
Highlights:
- Architected a custom C# and Revit API workflow that ingests schematic data and programmatically places Revit elements, detail items, annotation, and schedules according to standards and jurisdictional code requirements.
- Developed a robust JSON-driven system that automates view, sheet, and family creation for full permit sets across multiple disciplines, improving project delivery speed and accuracy.
